Louis Vannatter funeral is set for this TUESDAY at 7 PM at First Baptist Church in Borne. The graveside will be on WEDNESDAY at 10 AM at Oak Rest Cemetery in Medina.
When I think of Louis I think of Paul’s Words in 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith.” I thank God for all the lives he touched in the name of His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Let’s continue to pray for Sandy and the rest of the family as they go through this difficult time.

I misquoted a prayer request for Johnny Moore. If you remember… he has a broken vertebra and I said that he was going to be confined to a recliner and a walker for 6 months. I MEANT 6 WEEKS! My apologies!
I just received this from Sandra Vannatter:
I am requesting prayer for Holly Boyle from Bandera. She and her husband have the True Value. She will be having surgery on her spine, due to reoccurring vasculitis. This is her second back surgery in two years. The surgery is at 10:00 a.m. FRIDAY, MAY 23. She has requested we pray.
Finally, Sylvia Rogers sent in the following concerning the Steven Curtis Chapman family.
Most of you know of the recent accidental death of Steven Curtis Chapman’s 5 year old daughter, Maria. This is a terrible tragedy for one of Christian Music’s greatest artists. Please pray for this precious family as they make their way through this time of pain.
If you feel led to send them your condolences, I have attached the information necessary for you.
Sylvia.

We need to pray for Johnny Moore: The doctors have discovered that he has a broken vertebra and he will have to be confined to his recliner and walker for the next 6 months!
Also Nickie Binion sent the following update on their daughter-in-law, Stephanie:
Stephanie had her second surgery on Tuesday at Baylor Hospital in Dallas and the results were very good. Hopefully, she will be getting out of the hospital in the next few days and be able recover at her parents home in Dallas. Thanks for all the support and concern from the congregation regarding this jaw reconstruction procedure.
Finally, Let’s continue to remember Lynda Coates in our prayers. The latest update is that she was able to get an appointment with a new neurologist in 3 weeks… but she’s still in some pain due to the sodium depletion and other factors.
Don’t forget that tonight is Administrative Council Meeting at 7:00 PM!

I just received this from Darlene:
Dear Prayer Angels,
A week ago your prayers were miraculous for Lynda! She needs them again. Her Sodium is nose diving again and she has yet to hear from the new Neurologist that is reviewing her case. She is in pain and very weak. It is a terrible thing to go through and until they get her off of the medication that is causing this, she will continue on this dreadful and life threatening path (ups and downs). The medication is a very addictive drug and will be dangerous to come off of and take time, as well. She could have seizures or strokes and will have to be watched carefully. Right now please pray for Godspeed. Let her hear from SOMEONE TODAY!
Let her feel our prayers!
Prayer Works!
We praise you Father!
Lift Fourth, Suzanne and Cinco up in prayer also.
The Lord give them all strength to make it through this storm.

Al Zirkel just called and told me that they took Harold in the emergency room at Sid Peterson today. He was suffering from severe abdominal pain. They THINK it’s related to scar tissue from a recent surgery from diverticulitis. Let’s keep him and Mary in our prayers.
Also, let’s continue to prayer for the family of Dean Isaacs. His memorial service is at 11 AM today.

JOY! You guys as a congregation have managed to raise over $2,000 at last Sunday’s Christmas Party to aid little Baby Rowan in his health crisis! In you remember we have been praying for Rowan for the last year and a half.
Here are a couple of prayer request that came in from Loni Culp:
Please ask for prayers for my sister-in-law’s mother, Anne Hood. She is not recovering from her last two surgeries and is struggling with the therapy. My brother says that he feels she is tired of the life struggle and being in the nursing home. The family needs Our Lords strength and guidance.
Alan Beggs, 79, has been diagnosed with a massive malignant tumor behind his heart, which is causing pressure on his lungs as well as the heart. They are not giving him much hope and he does not want surgery or any cancer treatments. He needs peace with our Lord and Savior.
This also came in from Ann Leonard: Please pray for a friend Mary Lovell in University Hospital. She had a bad accident Sat and was rushed to the hospital and required surgery on her leg and stitches on her legs and chin. She did not have a good day today her sister reported to me. Thank you, Ann Leonard
Finally, let’s continue to keep the Dean Isaacs family in our prayers. A reminder that his memorial service is tomorrow at 11 AM at Medina United Methodist Church with a grave side following and a meal at the church
Also don’t forget our Choir is singing their Christmas Cantata THIS Sunday morning and our Children will have their Christmas Program later on that evening at 6 PM!

Paul Nielson had a 5 hour hip surgery. He came through the surgery, but he’s in for a long recovery. They would really like a private room for Paul… but none is available. Ruthie asked for prayer for not only Paul’s recovery, but for a room to open up.
Norman Stephens sent me an email that his daughter, Carolyn’s heart surgery went through fine.
